this place ? From the breath-taking canyons all around, from the
superb surroundings dating from way back when earth was young, you
might guess Colorado or Guyana as well. But this is Tarn country.

A few hundred
feet from the hotel, beautiful Tarn finally joins Aveyron, after
meeting La Jonte in Peyreleau. The impetuous river gets lazier while
opening to the valley, and at last brings people peace – and
wealth, indeed. Downstreams stands Millau, with its record-settling
viaduct : the highest in the world.

Tarn is not the one and only wonder around. Both its affluents,
La Jonte and La Dourbie, give their share of mind-bending panoramas
as they wind through the Causse Noir and Mejean city !
